Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 May 2025

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using AllyUp (“the Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

AllyUp is an AI-powered accessibility assistant that scans websites for WCAG 2.2 issues and provides guidance on remediation. The Service is provided “as is” and is intended as a tool to support accessibility work, not as a substitute for professional accessibility auditing.

3. Account responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Scan websites you do not own or have explicit authorisation to test.
  • Circumvent rate limits or abuse the scanning infrastructure.
  • Attempt to access other users' data.
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

5. AI-generated content

Accessibility guidance produced by the Service is generated by AI models and may contain errors or omissions. It does not constitute legal advice. Always verify findings with a qualified accessibility professional before relying on them for compliance purposes.

6. API keys

You provide your own API keys for third-party AI providers. You are responsible for any costs incurred on those providers. Keep your API keys secure — do not share them.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AllyUp and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
